Shane Tucker, a graduate student from Alexandria, Virginia, is a right-handed pitcher for the FIU Panthers. Before joining FIU, he played at Long Island University (LIU), where he made notable contributions over multiple seasons. In 2024, Tucker did not appear in any games. During the 2023 season, he achieved a 3-1 record with a 6.50 ERA, recording 31 strikeouts over 18 innings in 16 relief appearances. His performance included striking out the side in the ninth inning and delivering two scoreless relief innings in an 11-inning victory against Merrimack on April 21. In 2022, Tucker posted a 1-1 record with a 4.91 ERA and 18 strikeouts across 14.2 innings in 12 appearances, including three starts. Notably, he secured a win by striking out consecutive batters with the bases loaded in a 13-inning NEC tournament victory over Bryant on May 28. Tucker began his collegiate career in 2021, logging five innings over five appearances. He graduated from TC Williams High School in 2020 as a four-year Scholar-Athlete and played three seasons of varsity baseball at shortstop.
