Olasunkonmi Agunloye is a veteran defensive lineman entering his final collegiate season with FIU as a graduate transfer. With prior stops at both Virginia and Marshall, Agunloye brings a wealth of Power Five experience and leadership to the Panthers’ defensive front.

Agunloye played the 2024 season at Marshall, appearing in eight games and recording six tackles, including a half-tackle for loss against Virginia Tech. Prior to that, he spent four seasons at the University of Virginia, where he developed into a dependable force on the defensive line. His highlights with the Cavaliers include a sack and fumble recovery against Tennessee in 2023 and a strong 2022 campaign with 25 tackles, two tackles for loss, and a sack across 10 games.

Originally from New York, Agunloye starred at Lindenhurst High School where he played on both sides of the ball and helped lead his team to a perfect 12–0 season and a Long Island championship. He earned first-team all-county honors and was recognized as a three-star prospect by ESPN, Rivals, and 247Sports.

Now a graduate student in FIU’s School of Education, Agunloye brings not only talent and experience but also academic excellence to the program. He is set to play a major role for the Panthers in 2025, aiming to dominate in the trenches and mentor the next wave of defensive linemen.
