Jaheim Buchanon is a young, physical offensive lineman entering his redshirt sophomore season at FIU. A native of Lehigh Acres, Florida, Buchanon brings strength, versatility, and upside to the Panthers’ offensive front.

Although he did not see game action in 2023, Buchanon continued to develop his skills in practice and remains a key part of the program’s future on the line. Standing at 6-foot-3 and weighing 292 pounds, he has the size and athleticism to contribute at multiple positions up front.

Buchanon played his high school football at Lehigh Senior under head coach
James Chaney, where he lined up on both the offensive and defensive lines. He helped lead the Lightning to consecutive playoff wins, the longest postseason streak in program history. A three-star recruit by 247Sports, he was ranked among the top 125 offensive line prospects in the country and received offers from Army, Navy, Charlotte, and Florida A&M.

Known for his toughness and academic focus, Buchanon maintained a GPA above 3.0 throughout high school. Now at FIU, he’s focused on earning a larger role and continuing to grow as a reliable presence in the trenches.
