Ajay Allen is an explosive running back entering his junior season at FIU, having already shown big-play ability at both Miami and Nebraska. Nicknamed “Quick 6” for his breakaway speed and scoring instincts, Allen arrives in Miami ready to take on a lead role in the Panthers’ backfield.

In 2023 at the University of Miami, Allen appeared in eight games and made one start, finishing fourth on the team with 350 rushing yards on 67 carries and five touchdowns. He had standout performances against Bethune-Cookman, Clemson, Virginia, and Boston College, where he capped the regular season with a 30-yard touchdown run and 68 rushing yards. His ability to deliver in pressure moments, especially in overtime wins, earned him praise from coaches and teammates.

Allen began his college career at Nebraska in 2022, where he rushed for 190 yards and two touchdowns in just four games before a season-ending injury. Despite the setback, he averaged an impressive 5.8 yards per carry and showed elite burst and vision, particularly in a career-high 76-yard performance against Georgia Southern.

A product of Neville High School in Louisiana, Allen rushed for over 2,200 yards and 34 touchdowns as a senior, earning national attention as one of the top running back recruits in the country. His highlight runs, including 82- and 99-yard scores on his first two carries against St. Thomas More, cemented his “Quick 6” nickname and made him a coveted prospect.

Now at FIU, Allen is poised to be a game-changer. With his combination of speed, toughness, and big-game experience, he brings star power to the Panthers' offense heading into 2025.
