Ashton Williamson, a 6-foot-2, 170-pound freshman guard from Gary, Indiana, has quickly become a key contributor for the FIU Panthers men's basketball team. A graduate of 21st Century Charter School, Williamson has demonstrated his versatility and playmaking abilities early in his collegiate career.
In the 2024-25 season, Williamson has been instrumental in several games. He scored 14 points and dished out a team-high five assists in a game against Southern Utah on November 10, 2024.
On November 18, 2024, he contributed nine points, eight assists, and six rebounds in a close contest against Howard. Williamson's clutch performance was evident on November 23, 2024, when he hit a crucial corner three-pointer in overtime, aiding the Panthers to a victory over Cal State Bakersfield. He continued his solid play by chipping in 11 points in a win against New College of Florida on December 6, 2024.
